Olive Japan International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition is one of the world's leading olive oil competitions that brings together the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in awarding medals to the best oils from around the world. In 2020, Kristofola won a gold medal at this international competition in Japan as one of the world's most important olive oil markets.
4th Olive Festival in Zagreb
The 4th Olive Festival in Zagreb was held on 23 and 24 February 2019. The organizer of the festival was the Zagreb Olive Institute, and the co-organizers were the Croatian Agricultural and Forestry Advisory Service and the Zagreb Fair. The Zagreb Olive Growing Institute conducts a double-blind analysis of olive oils according to the highest world quality standards. The chemical analysis of the oil was performed by the Šibenik-Knin County Public Health Institute, and the organoleptic (sensory) evaluation of the oil was performed by the Association of Sensory Analysts OLEA Šibenik, whose evaluators are professionally trained for olive oil tasters.
